Hi guys! It’s been a long time since my last post! I just feel uninspired lately but the blog hiatus is over now since I’m back on the road again! I’m writing this on the train on my way to Prague, Czech Republic. Can’t stop looking out of the window to the miles and miles of woods covered with snow and the sun setting on my window.
So basically, I’ve just finished my adventure in Berlin. It’s been a good time and I had a proper adventure yesterday. As you may or may not know, Berlin is a very hipster city. There are graffiti everywhere, old and abandoned building scattered all around the city. From abandoned theme park to abandoned airport to abandoned hospital to abandoned spy station! You named it! This city was pretty messed up by the war and for that it becomes heaven for urban explorers.
It’s not a secret that London is hella expensive. Here are some proofs to make sure we’re on the same page. I paid £10 for an espresso and 3 mini cupcakes, and I mean… teeny tiny mini cupcakes; when in home I can probably buy around 12 regular size cupcakes from a good quality bakery (rolling eyes emoji please!). I paid £5 for snacking a plate of Dutch pancakes with warm Nuttela and icing sugar, take away, in a market, not in a fancy cafe when you can sit down in a comfy sofa with the fastest wifi ever. Another example, £11 for a regular lunch (burger, fries, and lemonade), super basic! Not to mention by the time I was there, more than 1.5 years ago, before all of the Brexit drama, the British Pound Sterling’s still very strong (£ 1 = around IDR 20.000). Now you do the Math!
Hi guys! Sorry for the lack of post lately. I just moved house and spent these couple weeks to put things together in the new house. Moving house is exciting but exhausting at the same time. Some parts are really fun though. My favourite part has to be decorating, for sure. I’d been looking and searching for decorations to put in my new room since..forever! Literally spent every spare time with scrolling down my Pinterest Board, browsing through Etsy shops, and watching bunch of room tours on Youtube. I found quite a lot interesting pieces that I love (all about travel, of course!). I though it’s nice to share with you to give some inspirations. Here the top 10 travel decorations for travel lovers to have in their bedroom (or any other rooms, really!)
I arrived early in the morning, after a long horrible train journey from Munich, Germany. Seriously, don’t you dare thinking about the classic, pretty, fancy, and comfy European trains. No, it’s not like that. Okay, maybe tourist trains or scenic trains look like that, but regular trains are not!
To be honest, sometimes I get nosy and curious about what other people wants to achieve in their life. I love reading people’s bucket list and knowing what motivate them everyday. By browsing through other people’s dreams, I’m able to create mine as well. So here’s I’ll show you 50 of my mission in life. Some of them are in my mind for a very long time, some of them are new and inspired by other travellers, and just a tiny bit of them I’ve already completed (I’ll mark them). Well, don’t be surprised, this long list seems like a bit crazy, unrealistic, and all over the place. But these are “places I wanna see and things I wanna do before I die” kinda list. Hope I can inspire you or just simply help you to find your next holiday destination. Ready?
As an Indonesian, we probably have a love-hate relationship with The Netherlands as they colonised our country for 3,5 century! But that’s a long time ago. And if somebody ask me why I visit Amsterdam then my answer would be “Why not?” There are too much reasons to visit Amsterdam, and I’m gonna give you five! Here you go…
Bali is the most known city in Indonesia for so many years. It attracted around 4 million foreign tourists last year alone. Being a main tourist destination in the country, Bali offers a lot of amazing places to visit. The list is keep changing from year to year. Here’s few of the new places that I visited in Bali; ranging from luxurious villas to beach club to snack places; that are the “hype” because I’d heard many people rambling about them lately.
Hello! I just got back from my big family vacation in Bali. Bali is one of my favorite cities in Indonesia. I’ve been there for a good amount of times and usually check in at a hotel around Kuta and Legian. This time we decided to try something different and a little bit more chilled, so we checked in at The Santai Bali, which is located at Umalas area in Bali.
When it comes to packing, I assure you the best way to pack your belonging on holiday is to PACK LIGHT. Trust me, I’ve been through a month with my 20-something kg suitcase, around 10 kg backpack, and another 3-5 kg of handbag, and one thing I can tell you that they’re pain in the ass. Imagine! Three bags with more than 30 kilos in total, combined with a very busy schedule jumping from one city to another! I don’t know what was I thinking. This is definitely the biggest mistake I did while planning for my trip.
That’s not a secret that I love being at heights, I love riding planes, I love crazy high rollercoasters, I just love to see everything from above and have wider vision. But don’t get me wrong, it’s also not a secret that I HATE stairs in any way! I usually take elevator to just going one floor up because I’m just too lazy. Being a flat city, Paris has changed me 100%. In my 5 days stay in Paris, I climbed several domes and hundreds of stairs, I didn’t even know who I am. Here’s several places to enjoy Paris from above.
